A native of western North Carolina, I live with my husband, sons, five dogs, twenty-five chickens, and one high-maintenance cat in a tin-roofed cabin fifty-three wooded acres. When I am not writing or playing with chickens, I enjoy hiking, running, mountain biking, drinking local beers, and making things with eggs.
